Resource Points - Exceeding Your Resource Point Limit Right Away
The datacentre group has grown tremendously over the last few years. We used to be able to personally alert customers when their usage had gone over the resource limits, but with this growth we have been unable to keep up. Because of this many customers have been far over the resource limits but not been notified because we were able to personally notify them and explain everything. As we tested long term solutions we gave out extra resource points to customers since we couldn’t personally engage them to explain the problem.
It took us a long time to find a solution that kept our standard of providing amazing customer service but was also efficient.
We strongly believe that this new system has the best of both worlds, letting customers see their usage and tweak their sites to optimize, while still making staff available to help advise on the process.
We will be working over the rest of the year to email customers who are over to help them move to a hosting platform better designed for their needs.
