How to COnnect Outlook to POP/IMAP (Exchange)

Below detailed instructions are listed on how to connect to POP/IMAP Email for Outlook Express mail client specifically. However, those instructions are generic and can be applied to any widely-used mail client (both desktop and handheld-based).

1. Start Outlook Express. Choose Tools > Accounts from the menu on the top.
2. Click Add button and choose Mail.
3. Display Name: Type your mailbox Display Name and click Next
4. Email address: Type your email address and click Next
5. Choose POP3 or IMAP4 in My incoming server...
6. Fill in the following information:
   • Incoming mail (for POP3):
     
   • Incoming mail (for IMAP4):
     
   • Outgoing mail:
     
   Click Next
7. Fill in the following information:
   • Account name: Type your email address (UPN)
   • Password: Type your mailbox password
   Click Next, then click Finish.
8. Select account named mail022-2.exch022.serverdata.net and click Properties button
9. Switch to the Servers tab. In the Outgoing Mail Server check My server requires authentication.
10. Switch to the Advanced tab:
    • Check This server requires secure connection (TLS) underneath Outgoing mail*
    • Check This server requires secure connection (SSL) underneath Incoming mail
